I think I'm a big fan of sepia lately.

B is for Bruises

Faint horizontal bruise above the right eye is from running right into a nightstand.
New bruise under the right eye is from walking into a moving hula hoop. Ouch!

A is for Alphabet

My good friend Shannon is experimenting with her new camera by going through the ABC's and taking a picture for each letter. She is inviting others to join her, so I am doing just that! What is more fitting to kick off the ABC's than the alphabet itself. Here we go!

Random

Mama and her silly-faced purple hat-wearing baby

This is the cupboard AB is allowed to open and rummage through. Occasionally she decides to climb all the way into the cupboard to REALLY explore what is going on inside. This is the only time I have been fast enough to run and get my camera and take a picture before she crawls back out.

Growth spurt

My what big feet you have, sweetie pie.
The better to walk with, mama.

What boys do for fun

What boys do for fun... drop 6 pound medicine balls on each other's stomachs just to see if they are man enough to take it. Oh brother.

Enjoying the windy day

Today has been quite a blustery day but there have been occasional sun breaks. Belle and I decided to go for a walk at Boulevard Park, where they have this great boardwalk over the water. We ventured out in the wind that was sometimes so strong it pushed the stroller a wee bit sideways. It felt so great to be outside though! The air is so clean and crisp and refreshing. I let AB be free from the stroller for a bit to exercise her legs and explore the park. She got so excited every time she saw a dog or another child and waved to most of the people we passed. She is quite social and so fun to hang out with!

Happy New Years - BUNCO Style!

Our friends Nick and Andi hosted a Bunco & Fondue New Year's Eve bash at their place. Gramma Kay and Grandpa John had Belle overnight so we could enjoy an evening out with friends. We had such a great time! If you've never played bunco, then you should because it is so much fun (even though neither Trev nor I won). Andi used her amazing cooking talents to whip up three different cheese fondues, some yummy chicken with great dipping choices, and chocolate and chocolate-caramel fondue. Scrumptious! I hovered around the food for quite awhile.

Some of the ladies having fun!

And then there was this gruesome scene - Death by Chocolate!
Someone (cough*Diana*cough) dropped a little (very little) plastic ninja into the fondue fountain to give him a little chocolate bath. Well, little ninja got stuck and the whole top to the fountain started wobbling back and forth, slinging chocolate all across the counter and onto the floor! It was quite hilarious to witness. Needless to say, I don't think ninja will be invited back next year.
